An often critical skill for information security professionals is the ability to read and write code. Scripts and compiled languages are the backbone and foundation of modern computer systems, and finding flaws that Blackhats can use for exploitation requires knowledge of how programs work. Many tasks in security require automation, and the best tools for the job are often the ones you write yourself, for the job at hand.

The Forge at CyberWildCats offers students opportunities to learn by building tools for use by others in the club, from the other Specials programs to the Capture The Flag. Write scripts, compile code, and solve problems with the help and guidance of the WilmU coaching staff. Come work on a variety of projects, including ScoreBot itself.
